i'm currently at college and pl my age are sociable, go places, have a life and they always smile
i have one more year after this one finishes. even if i get dental surgery, invisalign straightening/orthodontics and veneers, it'll take over a year and i'll have left uni. i dont' know what i'll be doing then
if you've had dental cosmetic surgery was it worth it? i have no doubt dental surgery works better than other procedures so i'm not worried about effectiveness.
it's just that it'll cost a lot of money, though to be honest, if i sold everything of value i have, it would go a lot towards the cost if not fully cover it.
i'm just afraid if i spend everything i have and i still end up with no friends and girlfriends after? at least now i have several $$$ worth of stuff for solo entertainment and i've had no life since i was adolescent.Should i pay for dental cosmetic surgery?
there is no ponitShould i pay for dental cosmetic surgery?
I really think if you want to improve your apperance definatly go with invisalign because it fixes your natural teeth. by doing veneers on most people you can tell there fake teeth and it doesnt look good. i say go with invisalign and by having a nice smile it will improve your confidence. so good luck %26lt;3
it will last for the rest of your life. You will feel much better about yourself.

We can't see, don't take a vote !
Being able to smile without fear of showing bad teeth is priceless. I would say it gives a person more self esteem. I had it done and it really did change my out look on things. I have school mates who didn't even know who I was, just because of a pretty smile.
So I guess it's your call and remember it is expensive up keep to.
Its not worth it.
Appearance to me doesnt matter. Its whats on the inside. .. Hehe.
I am at the moment spending a fortune having 27 year old metal fillings replaced with porcelain ones and (as I didn't want to have healthy teeth filed down to make bridges) a new partial retainer with my 3 missing teeth on it!!! Seeing the difference already makes it worth all the inconvenience and time. I can smile and know that my teeth look great.
The main reason I'm having them done is because the old silver metal fillings were failing (falling out!) and once she'd done the two that broke and suggested replacing the others. I looked at the lovely white fillings and agreed because I can afford to do it. I've no dental insurance and I'm paying one heck of a lot, but I'm lucky enough to be able to afford it.
If you have crooked teeth, I'd advise you to get corrective treatment in the same way I advised my sons to get it for their front top teeth. That was definitely the first step to a good smile. And a good smile gives you a huge amount of confidence.
Any other treatment can wait until you are rich enough to afford it and have money left to live a life.

How much is cosmetic dental bonding ?
i was going to have all of my teeth cosmetic bonded, and i was wondering how much it might cost per tooth i was thinking 250 a tooth does this sound right How much is cosmetic dental bonding ?
It depends on where you live. I just spoke to a lady who paid $500.00 a tooth. It'll cost more if u get it in California and less in Ohio. It will cost more in Hollywood than it would cost in a smaller town somewhere in the valley. How much is cosmetic dental bonding ?
It all depends on what is ur problem and what has to be done. If u're talking abt cosmetic work go see a specialized dentist and find out. He is the only one that can tell for sure and don't forget to ask abot payment facilities.

Questions about repair (restorative) cosmetic dentistry - dental bonding?
Due to an eating disorder, I have lost enamel on my teeth and now need something called dental bonding. I'm not sure really sure what it is. I know they roughen the surface of the tooth then put some stuff on it... right? What is the outlines of the procedure.
Will I need to be numbed up? Will it hurt? How long will it take? etc. I'm very nervous.Questions about repair (restorative) cosmetic dentistry - dental bonding?
Yes numbed up and they prep the tooth and then place a tooth colored material over it

Does dental insurance cover cosmetic dentistry options?
Such as putting braces and the likeDoes dental insurance cover cosmetic dentistry options?
IT DEPENDS ON WHAT'S DONEDoes dental insurance cover cosmetic dentistry options?
Generally the dental insurance policy will state if it covers orthodontic work and how much it covers. Usually for a PPO type plan, the amount (say $1000 of coverage) is up to 50%, meaning when you have charges of $2000, it will cover 50%, up to the limit of $1000. If it's a DMO/HMO plan it will state if orthodontic work is covered and how much is covered in the policy.
For a PPO policy, the payments are made at 50% as they happen, meaning the installation is covered at 50% (which usually almost eats up a $1000 policy anyway) and then other appointments (not maintenance) are covered at 50% as they happen. Then whatever amount is left to pay for the monthly maintenance appts is split up over the length of the treatment (say 24 months) and each payment amount is usually less than 50% of your monthly bill. Confusing, huh? = )
So if you had $240 left for monthly maintenance, they'd pay you at $240 /24 = $10 per month, even though the cost for the appts may be $200. At least that's how the insurances we've had have worked.
make use of the SE like google or yahoo to get some ideas first if you want to get the massive information, however if you do not want to spend so much time, here http://www.insuranceidea.info/free-insurance.htm is a direct and good resource for your questions.
Most will not cover cosmetic dentistry. Here is a plan that will cover cosmetic dentistry at a huge discount

How much does cosmetic dental work cost??
depends what kind of work u want, need some more details pleaseHow much does cosmetic dental work cost??
It really depends on what exactly you want done. For instance, cosmetic teeth bleaching could cost a few hundred, while having porcelain veneers put in for a full-mouth could cost one thousand per tooth. Also, the type of dentist you go to could also make a difference in how much you would need to pay. Put in more details about what type of cosmetic dental work you have in mind so that people will be able to give you a more precise answer. How much does cosmetic dental work cost??
A lot, but it is worth it for a beautiful smile!! :)
Finding the cosmetic dental work quite expensive here, I made a research for comprehensive options abroad in countries like dubai, thailand, india, singapore, etc. In my google search for 'comprehensive dental health care india' I came across a beautiful website Dental Care India Tour offering very attractive prices for various procedures I enquired about like dental implants, veneers, crowns, bridge, etc with tourism also thrown in at discount prices.
hiya hope fully this link might give you a good in sight to costs and work carried out to give you your perfect smile back.
www.nhs.co.uk or you can get a list of prices privately from your local dentists.
Sounds like you have a lot of dental work done. First advice,
shop around. Ask a few dentists for your options and estimates
of cost. Even if you have dental insurance it won't help a lot
because cosmetic work is rarely covered. If you don't have
it already, and you buy now, they'll have you wait months or
even years before getting a full benefit. Memebership
with eHealthPlus will save you 25%-60% immediately

Does the military cover one cosmetic surgery for dependents and does that include dental work?
I know the one cosmetic surgery the military covers is lasik and only for the active duty member.Does the military cover one cosmetic surgery for dependents and does that include dental work?
Like what everyone else said, tricare does not cover cosmetic surgery for dependents unless you were in an accident and you need cosmetic surgery to fix the problem. Also, if you have breast cancer and get your breast removed, they will pay for you to get breast implants. If you need dental work ie braces, you would need to get an AER loan. This would help you pay for the braces and there is no charge for it.Does the military cover one cosmetic surgery for dependents and does that include dental work?
no, the military doesn't even cover cosmetic surgery for active duty. You'll have to use your own leave. The only ';cosmetic'; work the military may do is if it were in the line of duty.
The only time cosmetic work will be covered, is if it is needed due to some sort of accident or for other health reasons.

Get your full dental work and jaw surgery in India.Dental Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic/dental surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .
My cousin got her full dental work and jaw surgery for the cross bite and the overbite problem done there and she is more than very happy with the results.sHe is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her.hope this helps.I think she paid only 7000$ for the full dental surgery for which she was quoted 19000 $ in USA.

i know this from recently getting braces and im 19 so here it goes. They will have to take out to bottem wisdom teeth and surgically move your jaw forward. i said hell no!
It sounds like you need to see an Orthodontist. He or she can help you with the grinding. You can actually grind your teeth all the way down if not treated. They can make you a nightguard to help protect your teeth.
don't do ecstacy since that will worsen the bruxism while on the drug
get a mouth guard meanwhile, its a cheap way of saving your teeth %26amp; jaw from pain and further damage
Surgery for realignment doesn't seem like a big deal, but there are risks involved.
A friend of mine had to have her jaw broken to align it properly, while breakin the lower jaw, her upper face caved in.
She lost her nose, cheeks, all form of her face below the eyes.
Emergency reconstructive surgery was done to save the rest, but she does not resemble the same person

Why does dental work cost so much more than medical work. Do most people consider it cosmetic? I?
I know it is a more specialized field but I mean I heard about a little boy who died because of an extremely bad tooth. The family was extremely poor. Why isn't there more of a support system? I mean, this isn't the Middle Ages. Why does dental work cost so much more than medical work. Do most people consider it cosmetic? I?
you are absolutely right! I have my teeth done and it cost SO much money. It is considered to be cosmetic because it changes the way you look. Think about it...when you go to the doctor they will give you medicine for a cold, but it doesn't change the way you look. Whereas going to the dentist and getting your teeth pulled out...:)
it all sucks, but it is all trueWhy does dental work cost so much more than medical work. Do most people consider it cosmetic? I?
Well if you are looking for dental work such as Porcelain Veneers and Dental Bonding then yes its seen as Cosmetic and it will not be covered by the insurance and in US its very expensive, maybe you should look up going overseas. Prices are way less and most of the oral surgeons have studied in the US anyways... I hope this answered helps ;)
Dentist are starting to charge more and more. Supply and demand issue.
yes they are putting it in the cosmetics, because of the gold and silver.

I can't say that there are any free oral/dental . . but you might try your local Oral/Dental Colleges. They have to start somewhere right? They do charge a fee but I do believe it is less expensive. Good Luck.Anyone know how to find free oral/dental cosmetic surgery?
I don't think there is a such thing. I have had a few oral surgeries, and I have had to pay for them. If you are in Canada, and it can be done in the hospital, then that portion is covered... about 60-80%... depending. But you will still have to pay the surgeon for their ';lab fees'; and for doing the job. Its best to look into it and see what they say is best...
Besides, it is claimable on your income tax!Anyone know how to find free oral/dental cosmetic surgery?
you can check out dental colleges and they would do it for a low price but you wont find any one to do cosmetic dentistry for free because it's elective.
Try your local dental school. Good luck
I dont know about all that. Is your teeth jacked up?? Sometimes some dentists have charitycases for those who are really poor and have severe deformities dentally.

Where can i volunteer for cosmetic dental work since i cannot afford to pay. do dental schools need clients?
It depends on what the guidelines are at the school of dentistry in your state. The school may only offer basic dentistry at a discounted price or for free in some cases. You might contact them to see what financial criteria they have to qualify for assistance and then find out the extent of work that they can offer. Good luck.Where can i volunteer for cosmetic dental work since i cannot afford to pay. do dental schools need clients?
Yes, you would need to check with your local dental school's to see what services they offer. Normally it is not free but definately half the cost of a normal dental office. The only downside to it is that their services take a lot more visits and the visits will last a lot longer than a normal dental office but you get *TOP* quality care. Even though a student is doing the work, the instructor who is a dentist is watching over them and checking their work constantly to make sure they get everything right.
Also one form of payment I had to look into using was CareCredit, check out their website at www.carecredit.com. If you know the exact amount of the service that you would need to charge, you can calculate your monthly rates to pay it off w/o interest and mine have been pretty low. Definately better than paying everything up front on a credit card!! The only downside is not all dentists take that so you would need to know where you're going to put it into their system to see if your dentist takes it.Where can i volunteer for cosmetic dental work since i cannot afford to pay. do dental schools need clients?
Just call the school and set up an appointment. You will get a complete exam, xrays, cleaning first. They can all use you for their requirements. It may take longer and you'll need to make several appointments, but if they can't fix all that you need they might have other options for you to go too.big hair

Just call the school and set up an appointment. You will get a complete exam, xrays, cleaning first. They can all use you for their requirements. It may take longer and you'll need to make several appointments, but if they can't fix all that you need they might have other options for you to go too.
Cosmetic Dental Question? Extensions in your Jaw Experience?
Has anyone experienced having extensions added to your lower jaw to help pull your jaw forward so your mouth will close properly and your bite be corrected? I have an underbite. My bottom jaw didn't grow to its full size. I want to have cosmetic exstensions added? Can you tell me about your experience, what it detailed and how much did it hurt of course. Thank you!Cosmetic Dental Question? Extensions in your Jaw Experience?
A PROCEDURE KNOWN AS A LEFORTE 1,2 OR 3 MAY BE DONE FOR THE UPPER JAW. IT'S DEST TO CONSULT WITH AN ORAL SURGEON. BRACES WOULD BE REQUIRED FOR THE BEST RESULT.Cosmetic Dental Question? Extensions in your Jaw Experience?
OK, my son had this surgery, and the first thing I need to tell you is that an underbite is when the lower jaw sticks out too far. If you want your chin to stick out MORE, then what you have is an overbite.
The second thing is that it may not be cosmetic! You need to see an orthodontist first of all, because they usually put braces on your teeth first, then send you to an oral surgeon for the actual surgery, then finish up with the braces for awhile. All this takes 3-4 years.
My son grew several inches during his 17th year, and his lower jaw grew way out. Even though he had always had a slight underbite, this was so extreme, he had about 1/4-inch between his lower teeth and his upper teeth. He also had a few teeth that were crooked or turned. He had a terrible time eating and talking because of this problem.
Although he usually sounded very normal, it was a constant effort and stress to him, to do so. Speech therapy helped, but could not solve the problem. This was not a cosmetic surgery, although it did make a cosmetic difference when it was done.
The braces straightened his teeth, and actually moved them so they would not curve inward or outward. His surgery was planned twice, and then had to be postponed because the bite was not quite ready. When his teeth were ready for the surgery, he actually had almost 1/2-inch gap between lower and upper. Two months before his 22nd birthday, he had the surgery, which lasted 6 hours, and he had to stay at the hospital for 3 days. They severed both the upper and lower jaws, from inside the mouth (no incisions on the face). From the lower jaw, they removed 9 mm of bone. They used pulverized cadaver-bone mixed with a kind of cement, and made the upper jaw 3 mm larger. All of this was put back together with titanium plates and screws, which are very expensive (I think the hardware cost around $20,000)
His jaws were wired together for 4 weeks, with an opening just large enough to insert a straw. However, he wasn't able to use a straw. I found something called Zip-n-Sqeeze which we filled with pureed food and he squeezed into his mouth. He was a model patient, and we blended everything we could think of: cheeseburgers, eggs and bacon, pizza, tacos, vegetable soup, in addition to the nutritional drinks, smoothies, milk shakes, etc. He gained back every bit of the weight he had lost in a very short time. Most people lose 20% of their body weight after this surgery, but he did not.
He missed the first week of college that semester, but went to school after having the wires removed. I remember that he called me the next day at work, and was just amazed and so thankful. He said, ';Mom... I don't have to work so hard just to talk and eat anymore.';
It was well worth all the time and trouble, he felt.
The fortunate thing for us is that our insurance paid for the entire thing. We only paid about $1500 for the braces part of it, on a monthly payment plan. The surgery and medical was all covered by our insurance, which is kind of unusual. If anybody is planning to have it done, you will need around $40,000.00... or will have to work to get your insurance to approve it. They won't do it unless they know they're going to get paid. Whatever you do, DON'T tell your insurance company it is cosmetic, as they will use your own words against you and deny it. This isn't cosmetic, and nobody in their right mind would go through all that, for purely cosmetic reasons.
Good luck with it.

OMG! I have to have the same thing! Although I am not going forward with it right now, instead working on the placement of my teeth. Do you have pain? I am 23 and do not have insurance nor the money to pay for it. I've been told that if I am having no pain right now I can wait a few years. If I may ask, why are you doing it.

Are dental Crowns the Same as Veneers? in regards to their cosmetic similarities?
So bad dental hygiene in my 16 years of life lead to me having to get a full mouth of rootcanals and crowns; and i was wondering if, after i get all my dental work done will i have a perty smile? :)
My insurance is covering all the costs btw.
do i still get a good treatment? Are dental Crowns the Same as Veneers? in regards to their cosmetic similarities?
Crowns and veneers will both improve your appearance and give you a Hollywood smile. Crowns are indicated when your teeth have had root canals and a lot of decay and fillings. They will strengthen the teeth. Veneers do not strengthen your teeth. Good luck with your make overAre dental Crowns the Same as Veneers? in regards to their cosmetic similarities?
Crowns go on top, veneers go in front.
Basically, it's the difference between a hat and a mask.

I'm looking for dental insurance that will cover cosmetic dental work.?
I have a lot of dental work needed, and it seems that I will need braces for a year then, ';several'; implants. I tried wearing partial but I could never get use to the pain it cause.
Can someone help me with dental insurance that will cover my implants?I'm looking for dental insurance that will cover cosmetic dental work.?
This plan helps with costs: http://www.everyonebenefits.com/LMotaI'm looking for dental insurance that will cover cosmetic dental work.?
No Dental Insurance will cover cosmetic dental work. There are very few dental insurance plans that cover impants. Dental insurance is no where near as good as medical insurance.. It will be many years before that happens.. If you need a few implants.. your looking at the cost coming out of your own pocket.
Dental Implant and Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

What private pay dental insurance would pay the most for cosmetic surgery, Okla?
If you can find any insruace to pay even a tiny bit of cosmetic procedures, you're lucky. Cosmetic is just that, not medically necessary. So, insurance won't pay for something that isn't needed. I would say just save up as much as you can and finance the rest if you're able.
What dental insurance companies cover cosmetic procedures?
i am a retired Independent Insurance Broker with 23 yrs experience %26amp; a retired CPA %26amp; CFP %26amp; LUTCF also--no insurance company will EVER cover a routine cosmetic procedure, unless it is beneficial to your health, and not done for cosmetic reasons only-a good group policy MIGHT pay for a cap for a molar tooth, if the tooth would be saved, by not doing any more fillings on it-each filling cuts away more of the tooth, and eventually, the tooth might crumble ! if a cap would be paid for, they would pay for a gold or metal cap, without a porcelin cover-the porcelin would be considered cosmetic-you could pay the difference for the porcelin cover, if you wanted to--the reason cos could not cover cosmetic procedures is simply this--if they did cover cosmetic procedures, many folks would have elective cosmetic work done, which is not figured actuarilly in setting the premium rates, because this could not be estimated in advance-the number of cosmetic procedures to be done, that is, and since the premiums are not set high enough to cover cosmetic work, THE COMPANIES WOULD ALL GO OUT OF BUSINESS, SINCE THERE WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH PREMIUM INCOME TO PAY ALL THE ELECTIVE CLAIMS-PURE %26amp; SIMPLE--NOT ENOUGH PREMIUMS TO PAY ALL THE ELECTIVE CLAIMS--THESE CLAIMS COULD NOT BE ESTIMATED IN ADVANCE, AND THE PREMIUMS RAISED ACCORDINGLY, TO COVER THE CLAIMS--IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE, THE PREMIUMS WOULD BE SO VERY HIGH, NO ONE COULD AFFORD THE POLICY, TO BEGIN WITH-- I hope this explains my answer, and your question also- if i may be of further help, please holler back at me..good luck to you...What dental insurance companies cover cosmetic procedures?
If your NEED for cosmetic surgery is the result of an accident, it may be covered. Check your health insurance policy or call your agent. What dental insurance companies cover cosmetic procedures?
Insurance companies, whether it is Dental or Health insurance, don't like to cover any procedure that is elective. However, there are some exceptions, though they are few and far between. If a cosmetic procedure is being done because it will help a person's health or will prevent a problem in the long run, they might be willing to cover it, though you pretty much have to cross your fingers, because those cases are very rare.
The best way to find out is to contact your insurance company.
I agree with the other responses - regular insurance does not cover elective/cosmetic surgery. HOWEVER, I highly recommend looking at a ';discount dental plan';. It is just like getting the contract discount, without paying for the high cost of insurance (if it did cover it).
Please consult the Department of Insurance in your state. Any company markeing this product has to register with the state. In Illinois - it is right there on the front page.
Best of luck!
There is no insurance company like that. The only option I can think of is the FSA, that will give you before tax dollars.big hair

why would you want to do that?
YUKKERS!
Why? To look like a freak? I have news for you, that's not a good thing. You'll never get a good job, be taken seriously or ever respected.
And to think... some people have actual physical deformities and would kill to look normal, but you want to go out of your way to look abnormal.
You obviously aren't now, but one day, when you realize all this is actually stupid, you'll want to be a mature adult and you'll never be able to. Enjoy working in the telemarketing field.
I was going to say what Graciegirl said.
If that's what you reall want. I suggest removable implants or crowns. which cost anywhere from $400-$800 per tooth
It may be against the code of ethics of dentist to do modifications that aren't neccessary. In other words, if you don't NEED permanent vampire teeth, you probably wont get them...sorry

What is the best dental insurance that covers a lot on cosmetic dentistry?
Almost no dental insurance covers cosmetic dentistry. It is viewed as ';elective'; and not necessary for your health. There are some exceptions:
If you have an orthodontic benefit, it will pay some towards braces. If not, you're out-of-pocket.
If a tooth in front has decay or is compromised, your dental insurance may pay to get it replaced with porcelain.
Other than that, cosmetic procedures are your responsibility. Insurance is meant to pay for health concerns, not vanity. If you want a beautiful smile, you should have it. Get a job, work hard, and pay for it like everybody else. What is the best dental insurance that covers a lot on cosmetic dentistry?
Aetna is pretty good.

Is a dental implant considered cosmetic denistry?
I'll bet you're asking cuz of insurance, yeah?
No, it's not really cosmetic. Cosmetic if like 6-10 veneers (false fronts) across your front uppers OR bleaching...tha'ts cosmetic.
However, liek the one person above said, ins. co would RATHER pay for a bridge EVEN THO it doens't last as long as a implant AND involves cutting down potentially healhty teeth next door to the missing one. ALSO, if you're looking to replace the back most tooth, you can't do a bridge, since it has nothing to hook onto on the other side....
The other thing is, your ins. probably only covers up to 1000 or 1500 a year (US dollars here....) also , they only cover 50% of restorative procedures (IF they include implants at all). Implants (here in New England area at least!) are about $2000-2500 and then the crown to go on top would be 900-1200, so about 3000..... thus, 50% of that would MAX OUT even the BEST dental insurance, and that's assuming you haven't done anything ELSE this year. you COUDL do implant in December and then crown in jan to maximize yoru benefits.
hope htis helps; good luck!Is a dental implant considered cosmetic denistry?
most dental insurance companies would rather pay for a bridge than an implant, why I dont know! Check your insurance plan.Is a dental implant considered cosmetic denistry?
I think it depends on your insurance and if it was an accident. like if you get a tooth knocked out.but if its just cause you want it done then yes i think it is cosmetic.

I have to have dental work done can I just go to a cosmetic denist or?
I know that I will have to have a decayed to removed or fixed, but I will need bonding and filling to other teeth. Do I use a cosmetic dentist or general dentist?I have to have dental work done can I just go to a cosmetic denist or?
First of all, a genearl dentist can do cosmetic dentistry work too. They can do fillings.
Your question is just same like when a person is having gastritis, should he go to a general practitioner, or a gastrologist?
Well, it is depends on your condition. If the teeth involve is the front teeth, and your really want a perfect job, and you are willing and afford to pay, you can go to the specialist.
If it's just the back teeth, or you are not willing to pay or not affordable, or you doesn't need a perfect job, you can go to the general dentist.
It's a matter of what you want and what you willing to give.I have to have dental work done can I just go to a cosmetic denist or?
General dentist first and even the general dentist can do cosmetic dentistry it's just that they do ALL types of dentistry not JUST cosmetic dentistry. A cosemtic dentist just does cosmetic dentistry.

a general dentist it'll cost less
You can go to which ever you prefer. A general dentist can do the same a thing a cosmetic dentist does. I work for a general dentist and we do anything from a regular filling, to root canals, to crown and bridge work, and he does awesome work too. You will probably pay a little more at a cosmetic dentist for the same work a general dentist can do. Ask the dentist to see before and after pictures of some of the work he has done. It is up to you, you can see either.
Do some research, most general dentists call them selves cosmetic dentists without proper training. A general dentist should be able to provide this kind of service.

Not sure about the surgery but have you considered having 'invisible' braces or the ones on the back of your teeth instead of the front? They cost a little bit more I think, and may take a little longer but at least you won't have train tracks.Should i get Cosmetic Dental Surgery?
Pff I was told to get braces 20 years ago, never did.
Guess what they are the only teeth that haven't fallen out

How much does it cost to have cosmetic dental surgery(full) in Ireland?
It obviously depends on what time of surgery you are looking for.
Hope this helps.

Cosmetic dental surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India.

Does anyone know how much cosmetic dental costs?
my teeth are not bad i want them all whitening and i want them grinding straight all over plus i have a bent tooth at the lower front, do you know how much it will cost because i havent a clue.Does anyone know how much cosmetic dental costs?
There will be no answer to your question. A dentist will need to examine your mouth first. Depending on how much you need , he will charge you on the work. Plain simple.Does anyone know how much cosmetic dental costs?
Sorry but it is a bit diffcicult to give an answer because all dental surgeries have their own prices!! Because this treatment is private, dentists can charge whatever they like! For teeth whitening I know that home-bleaching kits can cost anywhere between 拢200 and 拢600! As for the laser whitening that usually starts from about 拢500!! Although laser whitening will give you faster results it really is no more effective then the home-bleaching kits! In fact, laser whitening although it gives you much faster results, evidence suggests that the results do not last as long!! Also be careful when getting any kind of whitening because not everyone can achieve the kind of whitening that is advertised on the posters! The degree of whitening you achieve will depend on age and the natural colouring of your teeth (like skin colour, the natural shade of people's teeth varies from one person to another). Therefore a good dentist should be able to specify and show you (with shade guides) how much whiter your teeth can become.
With regards to the bent tooth, this can be corrected in three ways. Firstly, depening on how bent/twisted the tooth is it may be possible to have a veneer. This costs approximately 拢300-拢800 (depending on where you go). Another option is a crown - this costs a few hundreds pounds more. A crown is pretty drastic though because it removes a lot of the natural tooth, and many dentists are reluctant to do a crown on a otherwise healthy tooth. The final option is to get a brace. Because it is only one tooth that needs straightening it is unlikely you will need the train track type - however this depends on the degree to which the tooth is bent/twisted, thus I can't be certain that you will not need one. As for the cost of braces this can cost anywhere between 拢1500-拢6000, once again depending on where you go and what type of brace you will need. Although braces are the most expensive, in the long run it is the cheapest because you have to remember a veneer only has a life expectancy of 5-8years and a crown 10-15years!
As for the tooth grinding I have no idea how much this will cost but it is likely to cost approximately a few hundreds pounds at least!!
You are going to have to do your own searching I am afraid to find out the best places to get treatment done. Remember though just because somewhere is the cheapest does not mean they are the worst, and likewise because a place is the most expensive does not necessarily mean they are the best. You should locate dentists in your area and have at least 3 consultations to find the most suitable dentist to do the work for you. Ask lots of questions and go with the dentist that you feel most comfortable with. To me though do you really need all this work done, because it sounds like your teeth are not all that bad!!
Sorry for such a long answer, but I hope I have covered much of what you need to know!!
I know getting your teeth whiter at my dentist is about 拢300 as for the grinding straight I have no idea, sorry.
What if you asked the question, ';I need a car, what will it cost?';
It's about the same thing with your question. Depends on who does the work, where you live, if you need veneers, orthodontics, composite bonding, simple cleaning, deep cleaning....
Ask friends and relatives for names of good dentists. The phone book is useless. Go in for a consultation; if no records are taken the visit might even be free.
Cosmetic dental is not cheap when done well and is usually not covered by insurance. If your teeth are ';not bad'; why do anything to them?
i think it varies I would ask your dentist.
its different in all cities and states.. call the closest one to you and ask for a estimate or check the websites.. also try doing searches on yahoo... good luck
When I had work done on my teeth 17 years ago it was nearly 800 pound if I was to have the same work done now it would be about 8 thousand and that was no whitening. I have always looked after my teeth only I now have a severe joint problem and have never had to have them cleaned as I use bicarbonate of soda. Ironic all that and big problems with jaw.
dont know you could go to a Nation Health Dentist but you will have to pay from 20 to 380 pounds under nation health But do you want your teeth fixed or not.

I am contemplating having dental implants and would like to know if anyone else has been to India to have any treatment. The cost is so much less there than anywhere here in England.Anyone out there had dental or cosmetic surgery in India and?
Cosmetic and dental Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
my cousin got a couple of cosmetic and dental surgery procedures in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.

I may not give you the direct answer but I would like to recommend Thailand which price is very competitive and high standard. Many dentists are graduated and well trained in Western countries such as USA. Many of them are American Board in their related field. You may see the reference in CBS TV'60 minutes and in Time magazine. Hospital and clinic are world class standard. The price of implant are estimated from USD 2,050 - USD 2,565. Hotel rate in Thailand start from USD 20 up to 3-5 stars. If you need more details, please feel free to contact me at wichayaneec@yahoo.com

Does anyone know if there are any places to get cosmetic dental work, such as veneers, at discounted price?
I would really like to get veneers for six of my front top teeth, but cannot afford the 6000 quoted. wondering if there's any other wayDoes anyone know if there are any places to get cosmetic dental work, such as veneers, at discounted price?
You can probably find a dentist in your local area by call 1-800-DENTIST.
Now, if you can't afford the cost you can try these two places:
www.carecredit.com and
www.capitalone.com/healthcarefinance
Both of these offer financing for dental, orthodontics, vision, cosmetics, fertility, veterinary, audiology, chiropractic, hair restoration, etc.
I'm forking out a big chunk of change for a root canal, stud %26amp; crown. My dentist was listed with www.carecredit.com so I applied and got approved. I'm not paying that much each month and if I pay it off within 18 months I won't be paying any finance charges.
Try 1-800-DENTIST to find dentists in your area and then log on to the two sites to see if any of the dentists are listed with either or both companies.
Good luck!Does anyone know if there are any places to get cosmetic dental work, such as veneers, at discounted price?
Try a dental school clinic.
Not that I am aware of. I would try at a dental college and see what prices they would charge. They are helping students learn how to do this and it comes with as well. These places have been known to charge about 10% of the day rate at clinics.
Don't know where you live but universities that have dental programs are always accepting new patients. It is a fraction of the cost and you are helping someone with their education as well.
Yes...Old Mexico, but know your Dentist and ask for referrals. If he is a professional it will be no problem.
You may also head for India which has been admitted as a hot destination for quality dentistry. Stay for two weeks to get top quality porcelain veneers done by top dentists at USD 225-275.00 each. Visit an interesting site www.dentalcare-indiatour.com, and possibly tell a friend as well. Huge saving, happy smiling!
Dental colleges will often give very great discounted rates on many cosmetic and non-cosmetic procedures. This is the best route.
YES, THERE IS A SOLOUTION FOR YOU. and its too bad more people dont know about it. you DONT have to go to a dental college or mexico (scary!) or resort to putting it on a credit card (you'll just end up paying more for it in the long run)

geez, you people aren't going to find discount cosmetic dentistry in america. even dental schools know cosmetics aren't necessary and charge a lot for cosmetic cases to make up for their low fees on the necessities (cleanings, fillings, extractions, etc). if you do, you need to wonder why the dentist has to charge so little. cosmetic dentistry is very difficult to do well as there are lots of ways it can fail or, more likely, be cosmetically displeasing. if you want cosmetic work, save your money and get it when you can afford it. if you think you need it to make more money, get on a care credit payment plan and don't skimp. you'll look like a fool with a bad veneer job, trust me.curly hair styles

Will insurance pay for cosmetic dental surgery if your teeth got messed up from a type of cancer you had?
That was my question lolWill insurance pay for cosmetic dental surgery if your teeth got messed up from a type of cancer you had?
yes...it's a medical problem. Will insurance pay for cosmetic dental surgery if your teeth got messed up from a type of cancer you had?
No. Unless it's detrimental to your life don't count on insurance for anything.
well health insurance pays for health related problems if you can prove your teeth need to be moved strighter to avoid health problems then yes..
i had a misalignment of my teeth and it was a eye soar more then anything how ever the fact that my teeth were having more wear on them than a normal person as a result they considered that health related because it will cause tooth decay after awhile
and it seems if it is a simple case of just crooked teeth that just look bad they may try to get out of it but to me if a health problem caused this then they should cover the whole thing ...but that's my option insurance companies are straight crooks?? if they say no at least talk top an lawyer
it depends. Only recently did reconstructive surgery for loss of breast due to mastectomy for cancer patients become mandatory and part of recovery /mental therapy, as they found that patients recovered much quicker because they had a chance at feeling whole and complete and still like a woman. Pretty.
While the USA likes to claim it forward thinking, it's still fairly bass akwards when it comes to how we treat the recovery of the critically ill and those who have overcome the odds and beaten the affliction or disease.
I would not assume that insurance will cover cosmetic dental surgery even if your teeth were damaged due to cancer. They may say you have teeth still, it's ';cosmetic'; therefore, not medically necessary if you can still eat and chew food. You should just simply call your insurance and speak to an advocate who can tell you what is or will be covered and in some cases where things are not covered, they will actually ';battle';on your behalf to get some benefits that normally would not be.
yes...it's a medical problem. Will insurance pay for cosmetic dental surgery if your teeth got messed up from a type of cancer you had?
No. Unless it's detrimental to your life don't count on insurance for anything.
well health insurance pays for health related problems if you can prove your teeth need to be moved strighter to avoid health problems then yes..
i had a misalignment of my teeth and it was a eye soar more then anything how ever the fact that my teeth were having more wear on them than a normal person as a result they considered that health related because it will cause tooth decay after awhile
and it seems if it is a simple case of just crooked teeth that just look bad they may try to get out of it but to me if a health problem caused this then they should cover the whole thing ...but that's my option insurance companies are straight crooks?? if they say no at least talk top an lawyer
it depends. Is cosmetic dental work eligible for sick pay?
I wouldn't think so because sick pay only covers days that you're sick! And having cosmetic surgery is not considered ill health. Alhough you won't be fit for work following treatment, you are technically not ill, in the sense that you are ill as a result of the treatment (which is regarded as voluntary treatment and not essential treatment). Your only option is to use you holiday entitlement to cover the days you will be off recovering from the treatment. Is cosmetic dental work eligible for sick pay?
Depends on your employer. But in most cases, no. Any cosmetic enhancement is the choice of the patient and is not covered by insurance nor sick pay.Is cosmetic dental work eligible for sick pay?
Just call in sick the day you are having your dental work done. They will give you sick pay for this. Just keep your mouth shut. Don't them what you are actually doing.
you have got no chance.
no because it voluntary.
Only if its medically required...if you are doing it of your own free will and its not a medical requirement for your better healthy then no.
no i have not heard that it is.
just don't tell them its cosmetic!
say you need root canal surgery and that they sorted out some cosmetic treatment at the same time if anyone asks
i don't think it is why don't you ask your dentist he might be of some help.
Hi. I'm only a dental student so i would check this out with your dentist first. However, i think that the only way to get free cosmetic dentistry is if your teeth are considerably ';deformed/bad'; and this is causing you a lot of stress and you can prove that it is affecting your self-confidence and making you depressed. It is very hard to persuade the NHS that this is the case and so they will usually only pay for dental treatment that is absolutely necessary to prevent bad oral healthcare. However, i would talk with your dentist first as this is a very hard question to answer without first having your teeth checked by a qualified professional dentist who is on the Dental Register. Your dentist will know all about this topic and will know what to do.
That's really up to your HR department, different companies have different policies.
Doubt it. I would take leave if you think you will need a recovery period.

I recently had a lot of dental work done in Budapest, Hungary. I flew direct from London, the work was fantastic and the prices compared to London were superb!!! I'm returning later this year with a friend to have more treatment. There are a lot of dental clinics in Budapest, I went with Kreativ Dental as they came highly recommended by a work colleague. http://www.kreativdental.co.uk - Look at the prices compared to London prices.

Is correcting a speech slur (in regards to orthognathic surgery) a cosmetic/dental reason to have it done?
The only reason I would need orthognathic surgery is to correct a speech slur. I have no other side effects otherwise. So would my insurance cover it if they do not insure you for cosmetic procedures?! Thanks! Is correcting a speech slur (in regards to orthognathic surgery) a cosmetic/dental reason to have it done?
if you have dental insurance it would cover it.

Is Costar Rica safe for cosmetic dental work?
The doctor doing the procedure is more important than the country. Is Costar Rica safe for cosmetic dental work?
The DDS's that work there went school in Mexico. How much better can you get than that?Is Costar Rica safe for cosmetic dental work?
True, the doc is more important than the country....but what do you do if something goes wrong? What if you have to come back and have something corrected? What if legal action ensues? I would recommend having any type of cosmetic procedure done here in the United States, preferrably by a physician with whom you are familiar. Check with the Board of Cosmetic Surgery, etc. and find out if there are any grievances filed with the physician.

Anyone ever had dental cosmetic surgery to fix a 'gummy' smile?
I just want to know pricing and what it was like. I don't have a gummy smile really, its just in the sides of my mouth when I smile I can see a bit of gum that I don't like. I'm not even sure if a dentist would do it, its such a small amount. but it bothers me, so no harm in trying right?Anyone ever had dental cosmetic surgery to fix a 'gummy' smile?
Basically the procedure in which would be performed is called a Gingivoplasty. It entails recontouring/reshaping the gingival tissue. Most dentists will use a instrument which trims the tissues by cauterizes them. You'll experience a few days of mild discomfort, but the results will be almost immediate. Good luck.curly hair styles

Why is getting a dental implant considered ';cosmetic'; and generally not covered with insurance policies?
That answer does sound like a good one, but if your dentist is willing to write a letter explaing the exact reason you are needing this procedure, the insurance company may allow it.
My daughter had to have her nose broken and reset, her insurance clamied it was cosmetic and all her surgeon needed to do was write the explantion and she was approved. THIS WAS NOT COSMETIC surgery it was need to allow her the ability to breathe. TRUE STORYWhy is getting a dental implant considered ';cosmetic'; and generally not covered with insurance policies?
My guess would be that a dental implat isn't really necessary and would only help your appearance. Thus leaving it uncovered by insurances.

What are the cosmetic options available for weak dental enamel?
My teeth aren't too bad, but they feel gritty and are a little sensitive to temp.
They are pretty straight and in good cond. otherwise, so I wouldn't want to get expensive veneers. Plus, those only cover the frontside of teeth. What are the cosmetic options available for weak dental enamel?
First, if you consult a dentist, try to determine if he or she is experienced with cosmetic dentistry. Not all are really good at it. You could have good teeth but be sensitive to temperature (especially cold). Root canal takes care of that. Root canal gets a bad rap, a competent dentist will do the procedure with little discomfort.
Meet with a dentist for a consultation. You don't have to do anything following the visit, but you will better understand your options. With some dentist you can pay as you go through the different steps to good teeth. Be frank, talk to him. What are the cosmetic options available for weak dental enamel?
Find out WHY your teeth are sensitive to hot and cold. Don't assume you are fine.
Cold sensitivity can be treated with Sensodyne toothpaste, but HOT sensitivity can be a sign that there is nerve damage, fractured enamel, periodontal disease...
Get checked.
Cosmetic solutions:
- bonding with resins (are weak and often chip and stain)
- veneers (porcelain)
- crowns (porcelain)

Could you purchase insurance for dental cosmetic work?
Try Ameriplan.com to see if they offer what you are looking for. It is not an insurance plan but its a discounted service plan. Hope this helps!!! It saved me over 1200 for my braces!!Could you purchase insurance for dental cosmetic work?
No insurance will cover cosmetic procedures.Could you purchase insurance for dental cosmetic work?
No, for the same reason you can't purchase auto insurance if you plan to total your car and buy a new one. There is simply no reason for a company to pay out more in benefits than it earns in premiums.
You can, however, finance your cosmetic work with ';health credit cards'; such as Dental Fee Plan and Care Credit. Or, save up the money before you start.

How much would a cosmetic procedure such as dental veneers cost in Mexico?
I was wondering how much would cosmetic dental procedures would cost in Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, or Alcapulco, Mexico?
Also, what are some good place to go to?
If you had it done how was the experience? How much would a cosmetic procedure such as dental veneers cost in Mexico?
I know someone who did that. They saved about $2000 from getting it done locally. Unfortunately they had to get it done all over again because they used very cheap material and it ended up costing them more after having to get it done twice. If you're looking for a short term solution to a good smile it might be a good option but in the long run I think you will have to get it done. He had it done in Puerto Vallarta by a Doctor Jimenez (not sure on the spelling)

What would be the correct cosmetic dental treatment for...?
someone with larger (wider and longer) front teeth than all the other teeth, yet are straight and aligned? Longer by 2-3 mm. 14 yrs old. What would be the correct cosmetic dental treatment for...?
Marisa
in all likelihood you would have to wait till your face has done growing so that the dentist can understand whether the front teeth are too big for your face (and therefore have to be filed down) OR the front teeth are ok for you face (and therefore the other incisors and eye teeth needs to be made bigger).
I know that it's hard to wait.. when I was your age I was in your identical situation. But I waited and it turned out that my front teeth were great for my face, so I put crowns on the others to make my smile appropriate for my face.
It also depends on how wide your smile is, in terms of how wide your lips open when you smile... mine is pretty wide.. (think of Anne Hathaway). I show all my teeth. A smile like that need to have big teeth or else it looks old, crocked (like Kristen Dunst). What would be the correct cosmetic dental treatment for...?
The cheeper option is to wear a pair of Bunny ears and carry a carrot a tall times ... sorry ....
The teeth can be ground down some what but ifyou go too far they you would have to come up with some sort of implants since the partyour gruinding away is the protective part ... At the age of 14 If your dentist has never said anything to your folks about the issue being a problem, I would suggest YOu wait it out or a few weeks, Your at a sensative age , if anyone says anything about you it hits home , what if youget a rocedure done and by the time you finish growing up YOur front teeth are way too small.??? save the money Your rents would have to spend on yourteeth for your sweet 16

Aid for cosmetic dental work?
A coworker of mine has a serious problem with her teeth. When she was a kid, she had all of her baby teeth. After losing those, no permanent teeth grew in. She is now missing 4 front upper teeth, 4 lower front teeth and one upper molar tooth. Her husband is in the military, but the military will not pay to have the procedures done to fix her teeth. I was just wondering if anyone knows any foundations that would assist her financially or any grants that she could apply for? Any information would be great. Thanks!Aid for cosmetic dental work?

Other then teeth whitening, what other dental work is considered cosmetic, and cannot be deducted?
Last year, I had over $6,000 in dental work done, and my husband had around $4,000. We had no insurance and all of it was out of pocket. I know I cannot claim the whitening, but is there anything else that I should not claim? Normal services, extractions, fillings, xrays, stitches, partials, and a bridge were completed. The fillings are the more expense white ones, does that make any difference?Other then teeth whitening, what other dental work is considered cosmetic, and cannot be deducted?
The difference is between health versus vanity. Tooth decay can lead to heart problems. So for each expense, ask yourself was this cost for my heart or is it for the way other people see me.

I was wondering if Medicaid cover cosmetic dental work(crowns, implant)?
Not only will Medicaid not cover cosmetic work, but most private insurance companies don't, either. With the popularity of tooth whitening, everyone and their cousin is looking to get whitening covered by insurance, but just like implants or veneers, it's generally not covered. This is due in part to the fact that cosmetic surgery is never necessary. (For example- instead of an implant, you could get a bridge or a partial denture).
As for crowns, those are often covered by Medicaid, provided it's an anterior (front) tooth, and not a molar.
Good luck.I was wondering if Medicaid cover cosmetic dental work(crowns, implant)?
Medicaid does cover dental work, tha is deemed neccessary. If u need crowns, etc as decided by a dentist, than they will probably cover it.
Its hard in Iowa finding a dentist who will take Meidcaid, I don't know if other states have more dentists that accept it or not.

There are MANY people without insurance who wish the same thing. I don't have insurance either and I have a million and 1 medical problems.

Where can I get cosmetic dental work done in the West Midlands (UK) and is the work a relatively easy process?
Slightly uneven teeth, and I want them 'sorted'.Where can I get cosmetic dental work done in the West Midlands (UK) and is the work a relatively easy process?
Depends entirely on the extent of your problem. If you are young (in your twenties or below) a brace can sometimes sort this the best.
If oldr, you might need some extensive work, and it can be costly. But well worth it for the confidence you will feel.
Best idea is to take the plunge and go and get advice from a good dentist.
Most dentists will do cosmetic work. You could contact The British Dental Association for advice on how to find the best dentist for you.
Good luck!Where can I get cosmetic dental work done in the West Midlands (UK) and is the work a relatively easy process?
most private dentists do this work now if they don't they will know a college that does . theres a big dental hospital in birnigham my mum had some work done there . cant help with phone nos etc as long time ago . good luck with your quest ..
Well I keep hearing on the radio of a place called the academy of Birmingham cosmetic dentistry, or ABC dentistry for short, you could give em a call and see what they say.
You'd probably be better off talking to them about the procedure cos us internetziens tend to make things up or make our best guess.
As the old saying goes ';Get it straight from the horses mouth';
GOOOOD LUUUCK!!!!!!
First of all look in your local Yellow Pages or Thomson Local. The work process will probably depend on how much needs to be done. And it is not cheap.curly hair styles

How much does it cost to get dental cosmetic surgery?
i was considering invisalign and other things but has anyone had dental cosmetic surgery? howmuch did it cost overallHow much does it cost to get dental cosmetic surgery?
I'm a dentist.
That depends on what you mean by ';dental cosmetic surgery.';
If you're referring to veneers, I'd hardly consider that to be surgery. Veneers can range in price from $800 to $2000 per tooth, depending on a few things--locality being the most important factor.
There is, of course, gingival recontouring, which might be considered to be ';surgery'; (albeit exceedingly simple surgery). I have no idea what the average fee is. I charge $125 per tooth...because it's so simple.
Invisalign generally costs more than braces. How much does it cost to get dental cosmetic surgery?
2500
As NebulaD mentioned in a previous post it really does depend on locality.
I needed full cosmetic restoration and decided, after due dilligence and recommendation to go to Mexico, which was quite a way for me as im from the UK.
I had 28 top quality porcelain crowns at a cost of $2400, fully 90% less than the $36,000 i was quoted here.
I couldnt' be happier, but as i said you really need to make sure the dentist comes recommended, not just in mexico ,but anywhere you decide to go for treatment
This the dentist i went with if you are interested
Hope this helps
Tony
I just paid for my Invisalign and it was $5600 for the total treatment. I had previously consulted several dentists about getting veneers and the prices I was quoted ranged from $11,000 to $15,500 to have 8 teeth veneered. My current dentist recommended Invisalign and laser whitening first, and then veneers if I still wasn't happy, but I wouldn't likely need as many veneers once my teeth are straightened, which would save me money. If cost is a concern for you, check out www.carecredit.com Good luck to you.

Can I get Vampire like Canines through dental cosmetic surgery?
LOL~ why waste the time having surgery when your dentist can just make 'temporary' teeth over your existing ones.... and they're removable!
:)Can I get Vampire like Canines through dental cosmetic surgery?
i have vampire like canines and its all natural.
anything is possible nowadays in science. ever heard about lion man, tiger man, lizard man, and cheetah man? all of them made changes in their teeth through dental surgery. Can I get Vampire like Canines through dental cosmetic surgery?
Yes cosmetic dentists can shape your teeth how ever you want. If you want longer ones you could get implants ($10,000), major surgery and probably have to replace them every 10 years or so.
Do you want to look cool or actually use them to drink blood. Most modern day ritualistic vampires don't draw blood that way.
Buy the overlays and glue them on when you want.
yes. I think the real question should be why the hell would you want them.
Sure you can! I would suggest you try the fake ones first tho to see how you like them.
You can, yes. However, you will have a difficult time eating, and will be biting your lips all the time. It's probably going to be painful.
Also, you'll need to find a dentist willing to ruin your bite for those 'teeth'.
yes. they can put veneers on your teeth that are like vampire teeth, or you can have them filed to shape. you can also get custom made sets that are molded to fit your teeth perfectly and look extremely realistic.
You can get them at home. A chisel, sandpaper, and a glass of chilled water and rags are all you will need....Oh and be sure to set aside about 4 hours of time to perform your work. Best o luck!
If you want to
You can get anything you want if you have the money to shell out but why would you want them?

How much for Cosmetic Dental work?
My teeth are a little yellow and my front tooth is chipped and broken. There is also some space between my teeth I'd like to get rid of. How much do you think this will cost me? (In California)How much for Cosmetic Dental work?
1000 to 1500 per tooth is common depending on where you live. You will need veneers on all four incisors. If your space problem can be corrected with Orthodontics, let that be your first option. Orthodontic treatment can cost between 3000 to 4000 or more depending on how bad the situation is. If it is a tiny space and your teeth are otherwise aligned correctly, go for veneers. Dentists usually recommend putting veneers on all six front teeth, but really the four incisors will do the job. Canines have a slightly darker shade than the incisors - you don't need veneers on them just to match the shade.
It might be cheaper to go to a dental school nearby and get it done by a student. They are well supervised and usually provide good care. How much for Cosmetic Dental work?
Depends on the Dentist. But a good Dentist and good work could cost 1000s, if not over 10,000.
Again depending on the work you want. If you just want a major bleaching session and the space fixed, then you are only talking 2g. Veneers are expensive, my dentist charges 1500 per tooth.
Go to Mexico, some dentists are more cleanly than American ones. for real

I need to do some cosmetic dental imaging a place that can do the before and after photos?
I have already taken the before photos, but I need to show what teeth will look like after just to give the patient an idea of how things will look who dentistry is done.I need to do some cosmetic dental imaging a place that can do the before and after photos?
I believe the one we used was SmileVision. We don't do too many anymore though, so you might want to check and make sure I got that name right. They do the photos bases on your specifications: 6-11, 7-10, 22-27, or full arch. You also give them the general shade that you are looking for and any specific shape that you want.I need to do some cosmetic dental imaging a place that can do the before and after photos?
Do you find it ironic that your name is tiff and you are asking a question about digital photography?

Are cosmetic dental services such as teeth whitening covered by most dental insurance plans?
Other examples might be porcelain veneers, dental implants and bonding. Are these normally covered by regular medical/dental insurance plans provided by employers? Are cosmetic dental services such as teeth whitening covered by most dental insurance plans?

No. Insurance is designed to meet your needs, not your wants.
Having said that, I will also say that an experienced dental insurance processor does know how to submit claims for those procedures which accompany the cosmetic work, which can help to offset the costs.
Also, insurance will pay for many of the base procedures, if you are willing to pay the difference between what is covered and what you want, such as the difference between what your insurance will pay for a crown (a porcelain fused to metal crown) and the cost of a cosmetic crown (all porcelain)
If you have Extras cover on your health insurance then you should be covered for dental practices.
It really depends on your level of cover.
Some of the simple extras cover won't cover dental implants, crowns, vaneers or root canal as they are major dental.
Only some cover whitening as this is asthetic dental and some health insurance don't see it as nessary.
Bonding, cleaning, xrays and mouth guards are usually covered standard evern for simple extras covers.
If you find out who you are insured with and your level of cover, go on their web site and they should have a list of what you will be covered for.
NO鈥?Go for a Indemnity dental insurance plans: People opting for this plan pay their dental bills from their pockets and then recover the costs from the insurance company. An insurance company generally pays a specific percentage of your dental bills. It can be 50% - 100% based on your plan. http://www.freewebs.com/getanswer/DentalInsurancePolicies.html

Does anyone know a dentist that would be willing to exchange cosmetic dental services for billing services?
I am a billing consultant with 15 years experience and will exchange my services for dental work.Does anyone know a dentist that would be willing to exchange cosmetic dental services for billing services?
Well that may depend on the amount of work you need done and the area you are in. I would suggest you create a form letter and send it to your top five picks in your area. You never know what could happen, and you sure wont know if you do not ask.
If you are thinking about dental implants check out this link that has some information on choosing a dentist.

I never heard of that.
Maybe search your community for a dentist that has his own practice, maybe a dentist that just opened up or a small practice or possibly a new dentist just coming out of school.
But more than likely they will not exchange, dental services for your billing experience..

Dental Cosmetics. How much does it cost? Mexico a good idea?
Dental Cosmetics. How much does it cost? Mexico a good idea?
I was considering invisalign but I am now looking into Dental cosmetic surgery.
Currently there are 3 issues I have with my teeth,
- Spaced apart
- Fangs (if you ever seen a vampire's fangs; that's what I have they are not as big/long but you can tell, and it' pretty sharp)
- Some of my bottom teeth are uneven
Those are the only issues I have, I do not think invisalign can fix those problems. I am wondering what would be the cost to have dental cosmetics done?
Also, I was told that have dental cosmetics done in Mexico was a LOT cheaper than here in the US. I am wondering would that be a good idea if I found a good professional dentist there?Dental Cosmetics. How much does it cost? Mexico a good idea?
A word of caution The uS dentists wont work on you if you have mexican work done.
That is not to say there are some very good dentists there and reasonable . You need to investigate who is good in the area that you are going .Dental Cosmetics. How much does it cost? Mexico a good idea?
It is a great idea as long as you choose the Mexican clinic carefully. You need to make sure the dentist has good references and knows what he is going. See this website for a list of carefully chosen good clinics in Mexico:

a lady i used to work for and her kids all got a lot of dental work done in mexico, and they were very happy with the results. it is TONS cheaper, but i would DEFINITELY do a lot of research on the dentist/dental hospital if this is the route you plan to take.
I had Dental surgery almost six months ago and it changed my life. There are fine dentists in India. I have had zero problems or complications.. The best thing I ever did for myself. I would like to recommend you grab as much as resource as you can before making decision, here is a good place for that purpose http://www.indianhealthguru.com

You may ask your cosmetic dentist if he/she can show you couple of models of how your teeth look like at present and will look like after veneers. If you are satisfied with the new shape of your teeth go ahead with the procedure after the quoted fee is acceptable. Also, if you can afford, ask for porcelain veneers in biocompatible material, of which the may be under $400 per tooth.curly hair styles

Does anyone know of where I can get cosmetic dental care at a very low price?
I would even be willing to be an example case for a dental office! I have very good insurance, just not enough to cover all of my work that needs to be done.Does anyone know of where I can get cosmetic dental care at a very low price?
You can definately check our your local universities and see what kind of dental programs they have and see if they have med students who are about to graduate work on people who don't have the money or ins. won't cover full price for regular cosmetic work. It's cheap and I believe they let you do payments. The dentists/professors are there observing so it's not like they do it themselves. One of my friends had his teeth worked on here in Dallas at Baylor, and they look really good... Check it out.Does anyone know of where I can get cosmetic dental care at a very low price?
if u live near a dental school you can sometimes volunteer for the students. when i was a kid i had braces this way and cavities filled.;)michele
HELLO,
FYI DENTISTRY IS ALL COSMETIC. THERE ARE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF QUALITY AND SUCCESS OF THE FINAL RESULT, HOWEVER.
A DENTAL UNIVERSITY WOULD GIVE YOU VERY GOOD RESULTS.
YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT HAVING DENTAL INSURANCE DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE WORK HAS NO FEE. THINK OF INSURANCE AS HAVING A COUPON FOR THE TOTAL COST. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO PAY YOUR DEDUCTIBLE.

It may save you a lot of money.
But first verify availability of dentists in your area and the cost for their services by calling them.
mexico
Thailand.
But remember... cheap now, means HUGELY expensive later.
I know some people that went to Mexico to get dental work for cheap. But that would only apply if you live close to the border otherwise you would incur travel expenses.
I would be very cautious of going to Mexico (or any other country) for dental work. It may sound offensive, but there are lots of scams geared toward people from the states especially in Mexico, and if they know you are coming just for treatment, they will know that you will have next to no recourse (or ability if you end up in an ER or worse).
Here is a site where you can view a host of dental plan providers listed by region and most offer significant discounts for cosmetic procedures. They are discount plans, not insurance.

You can definately check our your local universities and see what kind of dental programs they have and see if they have med students who are about to graduate work on people who don't have the money or ins. won't cover full price for regular cosmetic work.
