That answer does sound like a good one, but if your dentist is willing to write a letter explaing the exact reason you are needing this procedure, the insurance company may allow it.
My daughter had to have her nose broken and reset, her insurance clamied it was cosmetic and all her surgeon needed to do was write the explantion and she was approved. THIS WAS NOT COSMETIC surgery it was need to allow her the ability to breathe. TRUE STORYWhy is getting a dental implant considered ';cosmetic'; and generally not covered with insurance policies?
My guess would be that a dental implat isn't really necessary and would only help your appearance. Thus leaving it uncovered by insurances.
