Does anyone know of where I can get cosmetic dental care at a very low price?

I would even be willing to be an example case for a dental office! I have very good insurance, just not enough to cover all of my work that needs to be done.Does anyone know of where I can get cosmetic dental care at a very low price?
You can definately check our your local universities and see what kind of dental programs they have and see if they have med students who are about to graduate work on people who don't have the money or ins. won't cover full price for regular cosmetic work. It's cheap and I believe they let you do payments. The dentists/professors are there observing so it's not like they do it themselves. One of my friends had his teeth worked on here in Dallas at Baylor, and they look really good... Check it out.Does anyone know of where I can get cosmetic dental care at a very low price?
if u live near a dental school you can sometimes volunteer for the students. when i was a kid i had braces this way and cavities filled.;)michele
HELLO,

FYI DENTISTRY IS ALL COSMETIC. THERE ARE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF QUALITY AND SUCCESS OF THE FINAL RESULT, HOWEVER.

A DENTAL UNIVERSITY WOULD GIVE YOU VERY GOOD RESULTS.

YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT HAVING DENTAL INSURANCE DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE WORK HAS NO FEE. THINK OF INSURANCE AS HAVING A COUPON FOR THE TOTAL COST. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO PAY YOUR DEDUCTIBLE.

It may save you a lot of money.

But first verify availability of dentists in your area and the cost for their services by calling them.
mexico
Thailand.

But remember... cheap now, means HUGELY expensive later.
I know some people that went to Mexico to get dental work for cheap. But that would only apply if you live close to the border otherwise you would incur travel expenses.
I would be very cautious of going to Mexico (or any other country) for dental work. It may sound offensive, but there are lots of scams geared toward people from the states especially in Mexico, and if they know you are coming just for treatment, they will know that you will have next to no recourse (or ability if you end up in an ER or worse).

Here is a site where you can view a host of dental plan providers listed by region and most offer significant discounts for cosmetic procedures. They are discount plans, not insurance.

Have you gone out of the country for cosmetic dental work?

I really need to get cosmetic work done to my teeth, and I've heard that it's cheaper to go out of the country.

However, I don't want to risk compromising the quality of the result.

I would prefer answers ONLY from those who have had it done: 1) WHAT they had done, 2) the price, and 3) how they feel about the end result.Have you gone out of the country for cosmetic dental work?

And if so, where in Northern Ireland would be a good place?Anybody know a good cheapish place in Northern Ireland to get cosmetic dental work?
Yes he needs a bridge or an implant, you need to see a private dentist

Experience with temporary teeth for cosmetic dental work?

I currently have temporary teeth from cosmetic dental work (due to get the real ones in about a month). Anyone have experience with that? They feel very uncomfortable (like I have a mouth guard in my mouth) and look very unnatural to me. Anybody have a similar experience? What is the difference once you get the new teeth? (I'm getting a bridge and several crowns). Thanks for your feedback.Experience with temporary teeth for cosmetic dental work?
The temporary ones are just plastic. Once you get the real onces they are porcelain and are puton with a harder cement, they look so much better, and even fell better. They will feel uncomforatble even yours gums should feel that because the dentist was drilling around your gum area too. But you should be fine when you get your finals!Experience with temporary teeth for cosmetic dental work?
If the temps were made right they shouldn't feel big and bulky. Your dentist should have tried to fit them as close as possible to your tooth. They are preformed temps, which means that they are used for a wide variety of poeple. As for the color, your dentist should match the temp as close to your natural teeth. Now as far as your new ones, they will be made off the casts that the dentist took during the procedure. Which means they should fit like a glove, If done correctly you shouldn't notice the new ones. Not to mentiont that the color should match your natural teeth.
My girl friend has a partial denture thing and from me looking at her they look normal. she thought that they looked weird at first too.

How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?

I don't really like my smile. my teeth are in line, but there is a small to medium sized gap in between my teeth, and my left front tooth is minorly chipped. Just to fix those two things, how much would it cost and what would I have to get done? How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?
The price will vary depending on your dentist and if they can get insurance to help cover it or not. If you just need those 2 things done, they can probably just place tooth colored fillings in the space and it should be virtually unnoticible. They can probably fix the chip that way as well, which would probably be a couple hundred dollars each (retail), but if they get insurance to help cover it, they should be under $100 each. Sometimes insurance doesn't cover ';cosmetic'; work, but if they are doing it to ';repair'; the chip, it should be covered (we normally try and get insurance to help our patients whenever possible).

The other option would be to have veneers or crowns done. These retail in the $1000 range, so you can do the math on 2 of those.

It does depend a little on who you see however. Some dentists may recommend veneers/crowns, some may be willing to just do the fillings.

Both should work fine and can be made to look as good as you want/expect.How much do cosmetic dental procedures cost?
Well if you are looking for coverage for comestic dental procedures, then you do have options. Insurance companies don't cover it at all, but there is a plan that you can get and this dental plan will help you out with a 25%-40% discount with is awesome on cosmetic procedure.
Go to your dentist and ask. There is no set price. I am doing whitening and it is $400. Insurance doesn't pay.
