I hear drugstore cosmetics are just as good as their expensive counterparts, however I have been using quality department store foundation because I heard it's much more natural looking than the drugstore type. I also prefer Lancome mascara. The question is what can you cheapen out on and what is a necessary splurge?Drugstore cosmetics question?
I just answered this, because I have used tons of foundations and mascara through the years and the cheaper ones actually do work so much better~! Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara in Rich Black is awesome. Girls ask me a lot what I do to get my lashes so long and thick and that's it. Trick is curl them put on a little loose face powder and then apply the mascara you will get forever long and thicker lashes instantly. Best foundation Almay, good for skin looks natural but covers well, good luck~~!Drugstore cosmetics question?

What you mainly want to get in department stores is foundation and certain eye-shadows. Maybe even concealer. The rest you can get at a drugstore. I mostly use department store make-up but the only thing I don't buy from there is mascara. I think its a waste of money paying $20 and up for a mascara. I use maybelline xxl mascara. It had the two sides and it works REALLY good. Some people don't really know how to apply it so they don't really like it but trust me it works better then department store mascara's. Another thing you should get from department stores are eyeliner. Drugstore eyeliner tend to smudge/smear.
when it comes to face products i use mac which is expensive. i use their select spf 15 foundation and their select sheer pressed and loose powder and their select moisture cover stick for their concealer. cause when it comes to those you want good quality. now when it comes to eye shadows i have a couple from mac for long day wear. but eyeliner i buy from elf and mascara maybelline cause i believe that maybellines mascaras are the best. and lip gloss whoever i want :D
Eyeliner, most eye shadows, mascara, councealer you can chepen out on, but foundation, and pressed powders are important to splurge on, because you need a good quality makeup to
- Not clog pores
-cause acne, dry spots, etc.
-match skin
-and look good.
i find some mascaras are good from drugstore and eyeliner. maybe a lipgloss or lipstick or lip pencil. but i buy from department stores. better color payoff and you actually get more product. and brushes NEVER good from the drugstore.
